N O T I C E

Members are hereby informed that the option of an Out-of-Court settlement offer received from the State Govt. which was earlier communicated to the shareholders of the Calcutta Stock Exchange Association Limited through their two elected representatives viz. Shri Suresh Kumar Kaushik and Shri Binay Kumar Agarwal was discussed in an informal meeting with the shareholders held on 2^nd July, 2007 in which the Administrator, Shri T. K. Das, IAS (Retd.) and Shri Sunil Mitra, IAS, Principal Secretary, Power Department, Govt. of West Bengal and Member, Empowered Committee were present. In this meeting various points were raised and discussed and eventually the shareholders summarized their consensus views through their two elected representatives and authorized them to communicate the same in writing to the Exchange Management for onward transmission to the State Government. Accordingly, the above two representatives have sent a letter to the undersigned dated 2^nd July, 2007 ; a copy of which is given below for information of all concerned.
